Danielle & Geraint's Vintage Shabby Chic Wedding at Ridgeway Golf Club

December 10, 2017

Ridgeway Golf Club

September 2017

Danielle and Geraint, what can I say!

There's something extra special about photographing a friends wedding. I've known Danielle for a few years and she is honestly one of the funniest, sweetest, naughtiest ladies you will meet, and Geraint is just as cheeky!

They were keen on having a fun wedding with plenty of family and friends around them. They chose Ridgeway Golf Club just as they were starting to take weddings as it fitted what they were looking for perfectly. Danielle was also set on a vintage shabby chic vibe which she nailed.

The day started at Danielle's mother's home in Caerphilly with her 6 bridesmaids all getting ready for the big day (and also praying for the rain to stop - which it did). Flowers delivered by the best man with a sweet letter read out brought tears to everyones eyes.

The makeup on, the hair done it was time to head to the church... just after the drivers helped me get my car out of the narrow street.

St Martins Church, Caerphilly I'm met by Danielle & Geraint's little man: Freddie in his little remote controlled car! Danielle was walked down the aisle by her loving step father and then grandfather to meet her husband to be.

After the ceremony we headed to Ridgeway to get some formal group shots out of the way and were taken onto the golf pitch in the buggies. Danielle and Geraint were fabulous posers and we were able to get some beautiful shots.

Speeches were incredibly emotional and hilarious. Theme music was added to each speaker to suit them. Cake and tea followed as a great alternative to the usual wedding breakfast and I was treated to my own veggie version.

Towards the end of the evening, I took advantage of the sunset lighting and played with some smoke bombs before heading in for the first dance... a choreographed Greece dance.
