A Sweet Winter Wedding with Jenny & Mike

Where do I start with these two? I am so lucky that I attract such lovely, sweet and relaxed couples. These two were just some of the kindest, cutest, most wonderful and friendly people I've met. I loved their personalities and just knew that they would be so lovely to photograph.

Let's start with the engagement shoot. Jenny & Mike are collectors in cacti so what better place to have engagement photos than a green house full of cacti! This location was so beautiful to shoot in - it didn't matter what the weather was doing (it rained) as we were under the glass. It also meant beautiful lighting.

The morning of the wedding I drove to Llwyn Hall in Llanelli  with the winter sun shining. I met with Jenny, her mum and her maid of honour getting ready upstairs. She'd chosen a gorgeous pink lace dress with a statement gold belt and a striking head piece! I absolutely love seeing what brides have chosen and the venue had beautiful stained glass windows which made beautiful frames for the items.

As the morning progressed, the excitement started to build as guests arrived included our lovely groom!

The ceremony took place inside Llwyn Hall (which had only been recently refurbished) in a small intimate room filled with happy faces. A few smiles, tears and kisses later it was time for beers followed by a short but sweet set of formal groups. I took Jenny & Mike for a little wander around the grounds for pictures of the two of them before getting back to the guests,

The room decor was so fun - they had made their own centre pieces with beer bottles, complemented with gold pine cones and little bottles of home made limoncello! (I, of course, had to sample). A cake of cheese also stood in the corner with little bride and groom taxidermy mice.

Dinner came next followed by some extremely lovely and funny speeches. Not forgetting a rap by the bride!

The evening flowed brilliantly into some night time photos with my couple braving the cold.

The first dance followed by some great moves from the guests finished the night off perfectly! And the bottle of wine Jenny & Mike gave me just made it even better! They had remembered me mentioning my post wedding ritual including the bath and wine!

Thank you so much to Jenny & Mike - your wedding was beautiful and I know we will be in touch for years to come!
