Samantha & Kieron's Barn Wedding

When a tattooist recommends you to a couple, you know you're in for a good one.

I first met the wonderful Samantha & Kieron in January 2016 and knew I was in for a great wedding. They were sweet, friendly, laid back and obviously besotted with one another.

The day started with gorgeous sunshine and Samantha getting ready with her parents, maid of honour and little family dog (who is now my best friend).  It was such a relaxed and easy morning and just so easy to photograph. Can we take a moment to appreciate these Louboutins!?

After the getting ready bit - I made my way to the beautiful Barn at Brynich in Brecon to find all of the bridesmaids waiting in their beautiful green dresses and the boys looking dapper in their suits.

The ceremony was beautiful - full of smiles from both the happy couple and the guests. Next came confetti followed by Pimms, beers and doughnuts outside in the sunshine.

After a couple of formal group, I stole the couple away for some quiet time. They didn't stop smiling and were great fun. And I mean, look at that sky!

Letting the lovely couple get back to their guests and the bar, I grabbed some shots of the table decor - skulls (one of which the couple gave me to take home!) and jars with fairy lights for centre pieces, macaroons for favours, and a ladder made the perfect table plan.

Time to sit down and eat next - and I am so grateful to have been set up a lovely vegan spread - thank you guys!

After everyone was fed, came the speeches. I always wish I could record speeches as I love the stories. I love looking through speech pictures and remembering what was being said. Speeches are always a great time for me as every body is much more relaxed with the camera and I can get some great reaction shots.

Now for the night time activities. With such gorgeous weather - guests were able to enjoy a bouncey castle, a coconut shy, hook a duck, pop corn, ice cream and candy floss. I do not know how everybody managed to finish the day without a broken bone.

The night time also brought beautiful sunset lighting. So my couple joined me for a few shots again.

The night time also brought a pizza van for the evening feeding! I was also lucky to be fed a vegan pizza to fuel me through the evening.

The first dance was beautiful and was followed by some pretty interesting moves from the guests.

All in all - it was such a wonderful day to photograph. I am so lucky to work with people like Samantha & Kieron and this wedding will definitely be one I will think back to. It's a great example of how to be at your wedding - enjoy it and relax!

Here's a few of my faves from the day.
